He started from state guest house and went to Ramaligeswar Nagar and among other things also checked canal banks. He climbed on to the water tank in Ramalingeswar Nagar to check the surroundings. It was tough day for revenue and municipality officials who were at the receiving end of his queries. He went to Screw Bridge to check the Bandar Canal.
Evidently, he found the city lacking in cleanliness and hygiene and expressed his dissatisfaction to the commissioner and the mayor. He asked them to be out on roads by 6am and also submit a report on a daily basis. He also visited the old government hospital and was shocked at the lack of facilities and asked the staff and doctors to improve their levels of service. He offered funds for under nourished children and also offered to extend financial assistance to one child suffering from hole in the heart. He later met with the farmers of Thullur and said that AP was the best state in terms of the package being offered to the farmers. He later went on to meet E Sridharan to discuss the metro projects proposed in Visakhapatnam and Vijayawada, Guntur, Tenali and Mangalagiri Area.
