Anurag Group Organises Entrepreneurship Educators Program

Entrepreneurship is the need of the day and there is requirement of institutes that promote entrepreneurship among students. Entrepreneurship must become a career option, observe speakers at a function organised by the Anurag Group of Institutions.

Hyderabad: Aavishkaran – Entrepreneurship Development Cell of Anurag Group of Institutions at Ghatkesar has organised a five-day Entrepreneurship Educators Program in collaboration with National Entrepreneurship Network (NEN) from July 4.

The program was organised for a faculty of 25 institutions across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh on courses WF100 and WF101. These are activities and MOOCs-based Certification Courses, which cover the areas of entrepreneurship, idea generation, evaluation and value proposition. The courses encourage students to inculcate within them the culture of entrepreneurship.

Speaking on the occasion, Resource Person, Dr. Radhika Meenakshi, said entrepreneurship is the need of the day and stressed the requirement of institutes that promote entrepreneurship among students. She disclosed that there are many opportunities for entrepreneurship in the country today and institutions, such as NSIC, NEN and BYST, along with many other initiatives by the government, encourage entrepreneurship.

Dr. KS Rao, Director of AGI, asserted that engineering students have many opportunities and they should be encouraged to take up entrepreneurship through various activities, incubator space and network of various entrepreneurs.

Dr. V Vishnu Vandana, Coordinator of E-Cell, said that the cell organises various activities, like entrepreneur talks, panel discussions and idea fests, for bringing in more students into entrepreneurship. The cell is introducing courses WF100 for eight batches during this semester and many other activities are in the offing.

Resource Persons – Dr. Meenakshi, Mr. Chenden and Mr. Vikram Mishra, Coordinator of the event Dr. V Vishnu Vandana, Director KS Rao, Dean Exams Prof. M Mutha Reddy and Dr. KS Rao of AGI participated in the valedictory session. They congratulated the participants and asked them to encourage students to think of entrepreneurship as a career option.
