All legislative meetings, budget session will be held in Amaravathi: Kodela
Hyderabad:A�Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly Speaker Kodela Shiva Prasada Rao has made it clear that all Legislature Committees meetings would be held in the capital Amaravathi from now onwards. He also said that the budget session should be held at Amaravathi only. However, the government will take a decision whether it would conduct the winter session of the Legislative Assembly there or not, Kodela said.
Speaking to the media at Legislative Assembly Committee Hall hereA�on Saturday, Kodela said that the International Womena��s Parliament, the first of its kind in the country to be held from February 10 to12, would be held on a grand note at Amaravathi with 12,000 delegates drawn from all walks of life. From spiritual gurus to science and sports personalities to political leaders, students, women leaders, etc would take part. The long invitee list is whoa��s who of Indian and global leaders in their respective fields.
Kodela said that the theme of the conference was a�?Women Empowerment for Nationa��s Developmenta�?. The programme will be held irrespective of political identification, he said adding that the women who participate in the conferences must speak. a�?It is a participatory conferencea�?, he said. He said that they have invited Speakers of 29 State Legislative Assemblies for the conference. The produce of SERP, MEPMA and DWKRA women would be exhibited during the three-day conferences, he said. He also announced that they were preparing two songs on womena��s empowerment. The Speaker said that they will offer good food that would reflect the Telugu culture. On final day morning, the hosts will organise 1.5 km a�?run for women empowermenta�� and on the concluding day the a�?Amaravathi Declaration for Women Empowermenta�? would be announced.
Stating that the preparations were on full swing, Kodela said that the 18 committees were working on the conference arrangements. He said that they sent invitations to 2500 colleges located in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana States and a meeting would be called with vice-chancellors very soon.
