Akhil’s ‘Junnu’ to hit floors from April 1
Hyderabad: There are several young heroes / comedians who started their career as child artistes and then made their debut as actors. However, those child artistes may have entered the film industry at around seven or eight years of age. However, at the age of one and a half year no one would have started their career as child artiste. But that credit goes to Akhil Akkineni. This young hero now had started in a film titled ‘Sisindri’ and Akhil played the title role of the movie. Unfortunately, his first film, though directed by a star director like VV Vinayak, was miserably failed at the Box Office.
After the initial hiccups and teething problems Akhil now getting ready for his next film under the direction of Vikram Kumar, who earlier has given a hit like ‘Manam’ for other Akkineni heroes. The regular shooting of the film is likely to begin on April 1. After the launch of the movie, the regular shooting will follow. Nagarjuna has agreed to bankroll the project which is said to be a romantic drama on the banner of Annapurna Studios.
At present the director is in Mumbai to finalise a heroine. He is on a bid to convince a young heroine from Bollywood to pair up with Akhil. Let us hope that Vikram would get the nod from her. Earlier, the film-makers considered the names of Megha Akash and Sayesha Saigal as heroines but there is no official word about them. It is also learnt the film is most likely to e titled ‘Junnu’. The film-makers are roping in a Hollywood action director to compose action scenes in the movie.
