Ajmer Dargah Head Who Sought Beef Ban Sacked By Brother
Ajmer: The spiritual head of Ajmer Dargah who sought a ban on beef sales just a day ago was sacked by his brother on Wednesday for being blasphemous and un Islamic. However, the Dargah committee did not recognise this claim.
Incidentally, All India Shiah Personal Law Board issued a fatwa against cow slaughter and sought a ban on triple talaq, on the same lines of Syed Zainul Abedin of Ajmer Dargah. . He also advocated to ban the slaughter of all bovine animals.
Abedin’s brother declared him a ‘non- Muslim’. He also claimed that he had the support of his family to sack Abedin and declaring himself as the new deewan of Ajmer Dargah. The Khwaja Moinuddin Chisti mausoleum, popularly known as Ajmer Dargah is on the most famed Muslim shrines visited by lakhs of devotees every year.
As the move of Syed Allauddin Alimi has no legal sanctity as per Dargah Khwaja Saheb Act, 1955, Abedin said he would seek a legal opinion on the matter.
