Actor-Turned-Politician Ramya Becomes Social Media Head Of Congress
New Delhi: Congress party which has been on reshuffle spree chose actor-turned-politician Ramya to head the social media team of the party. The former Lok Sabha MP will replace MP Deepender Hooda. The Congress is unhappy with the way social media is managed by Deepender for the past year.
While BJP has been dominating the social media platforms, Congress presence appears peripheral. As party vice president is hell bent on making their presence felt in various social media platforms took the decision. To effect a change. According to reports, Ramya will be managing Rahul Gandhi’s Twitter handle. The former MP had her share of controversies. She had taken on the then Defence Minister Manohar Parikkar for his comments on Pakistan. She said, “Pakistan is a good country, not hell. Ramya’s stint as Congress MP is quite short. She joined the party in 2012, contested from Mandya constituency in 2013 and lost the seat in 2014 general elections.
