Actor Aamir and His Wife Fall Sick with Swine Flu
Mumbai: Both superstar Aamir Khan and his wife Kiran Rao were reported to be diagnosed with swine flu and were being treated at their Bandra residence.
The actor who was supposed to attend a function of their NGO Paani Foundation in Pune on Sunday could not make it. He personally informed the organizers through video conferencing that he and his wife Kiran were down with swine flu.
“Since today is friendship day, I requested my friend Shahrukh to attend the function on my behalf and he readily accepted.” Aamir said.
Aamir also congratulated all the villages that took part in “Satyamev Jayate Water Cup 2017.”
The programme was attended by Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Reliance Foundation founder Nita Ambani, and Industrialist Rajiv Bajaj.
Swine flu is prevalent in many parts of Maharashtra, including its capital Mumbai. Around seven deaths were reported in the city alone in July.
Over 400 people have been infected so far throughout the state, and the government is desperately trying to control its spread through awareness programmes and better treatment.
Let us wish the couple a speedy recovery.
