Accused In Illegal Registrations Case Sent To Remand

The persons accused in illegal land registration case have been remanded to custody by magistrate on Monday.

Hyderabad: The accused arrested in the Miyapur lands illegal registrations case were produced before the magistrate on Monday. The magistrate sent the accused to remand. The officials of revenue and registration department said that six of the registrations were scrapped immediately.

After arresting Kukatpally Sub- Registrar Rachakonda Srinivasa Rao, directors of Trinity Infra Ventures Limited P S Parthasarathy and PVS Varma, the Cyberabad Police carried out searches at the residences and offices of the accused and recovered incriminating documents.

The fraudulent registration of 693 acres of government and private lands causing a loss of over Rs 587 crore to the State exchequer created a sensation in the State. Police booked a criminal case against the accused.

The Cyberabad Commissioner Sandeep Sandilya said that the case would be transferred to CID.  Saying that there were many allegations against Trinity Infra, the Sub-Registrar took huge amount of money to register lands to them illegally. He also said that he was at the same place for a long time.

Meanwhile, the fraud was detected by the higher officers of the Stamps and Registration Department and a complaint was lodged with the police. Based on the complaint, police registered a case and arrested the accused.
