A P Bar Council Condoles Shiv Shankar’s Demise
Hyderabad: The Bar Council of the State of Andhra Pradesh conveyed its’ condolences to the members of the bereaved family of Justice P.Shiv Shanker, who was also the Vice-Chairman of the Bar Council of Andhra Pradesh during 1965-70. The Bar Council of A.P. places on record the yeomen services rendered by him to the profession in general and to the Bar Council of the State of Andhra Pradesh in particular.
Late Shiv Shanker was Judge of the High Court of A.P. during the period 1974-75. Twice he was elected as a Member of Parliament from Secunderabad constituency and from Tenali constituency in the year 1998. Late Shiv Shanker had served as Minister for External Affairs, Law & Justice, Petroleum and Human Resources Development in the cabinet of late Indira Gandhi and late Rajeev Gandhi.
The demise of Shiv Shanker is not only a loss to the family members, but also to the Institution of legal profession. The Bar Council of State of Andhra Pradesh prays the Almighty to give all strength to the family members of Shiv Shanker, to over come the grief and pray that his soul be rest in peace, a Bar Council press note said.
