77th All India Industrial Exhibition opens
- 2,500 stalls at the 46-day expo
Hyderabad: Industries & IT Minister K T Rama Rao and Finance Minister Eatala Rajender, who is also the president of Exhibition Society, formally inaugurated the 77th Industrial Exhibition at Nampally on Sunday.
The ministers also launched mobile ATM facility at the Exhibition Grounds sponsored by a cooperative bank. KTR said the Nampally Exhibition was popular all over the country. The exhibition has 2,500 stalls and will remain open for public for 46 days, KTR said. The State government has taken all steps for smooth conduct of the exhibition, he said and appealed to the people, who flocked the expo to opt for cashless transactions.
Since demonetization led the people to go in for cashless transactions, it is time for using swiping machines, debit and credit cards, he said, adding that arrangements have been made for cashless transactions. This year, the industrial exhibition will be conducted for 46 days and the entry fee was also increased to Rs 25 per head from the existing Rs 20.
It is said the stalls in the exhibition will make extensive use of swiping machines and PayTM, debit and credit cards and other modes of cashless transactions.
The State government has almost completed the process of 99 years lease to the Exhibition Society following the assurance of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and it will be handed over the patta to the Society very soon. The ministers, who launched cooperative bank mobile ATM went round the entire exhibition sitting in the mini train.
The Exhibition Society has brought out an App called ‘Get My Parking’ to facilitate visitors to park their vehicles easily. With the App, visitors can park their vehicle in the vacant place. -NSS
