63rd birthday of KCR celebrated on a grand scale all over State
Hyderabad: The 63rd birthday of TRS supremo and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao was celebrated on a grand scale at the Telangana Bhavan here on Friday.
A large number of party leaders, workers and ministers, including Deputy Chief Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali, Home Minister Nayani Narasimha Reddy, Mayor Bonthu Rammohan, Deputy Mayor Baba Fasiuddin and others participated in the function. A huge cake weighing 63 kg was cut by Mohd Mahmmod Ali, Nayani Narasimha Reddy and Nizamabad MP and daughter of KCR Kavitha amidst wild applause.
Kavitha said her father’s birthday was being celebrated at the party headquarters every year as a tradition and profusely thanked the party cadre and leaders for the grand event. Home Minister Nayani Narsimha Reddy reminded that six-decades old dream of separate Telangana State was realized only due to the tireless efforts of KCR and the supreme sacrifices of those who died in the prolonged agitation. Stating that the people in the entire State were solidly behind KCR, the Home Minister declared that no force on the earth could stop the monumental development in Telangana.
Telangana Jagruthi, headed by Kavitha, organized a special paintings exhibition at the Telangana Bhavan on the occasion featuring the achievements of the party founder-president and Chief Minister KCR.
Meanwhile, KCR’s birthday was celebrated across the State by party workers in a big way. Cakes were cut and meetings were organized. In the capital city of Hyderabad, billboards were painted pink greeting KCR on his birthday.
Members of Telangana Archaka Samakhya performed special pujas in 12,254 temples all over the State seeking divine blessings for KCR. Samakhya working president Upendra Sharma said, “We performed pujas in all the temples for robust health of the Chief Minister for his untiring efforts in developing the infant State”.
Animal Husbandry Minister Talasani Srinivasa Yadav performed special pujas at the Peddamma Thalli temple in Jubilee Hills for good health and long life to the Chief Minister. At Lakshmi-Narasimha Swamy temple in Yadadri, MLA Gongidi Sunitha performed special pujas for the long life of KCR. In Bhadradri, MLA Jalagam Venkat Rao participated in the birthday celebrations of KCR and cut a cake.

Meanwhile, a large number of people, including State ministers, party senior leaders and the elite of the city made a beeline to the Pragathi Bhavan and greeted the Chief Minister with bouquets. Pundits blessed KCR amidst Vedic chants.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi greeted the Chief Minister from New Delhi on telephone. Modi also tweeted: “Warm birthday wishes to Telangana Chief Minister Shri K Chandrasekhar Rao Garu. May he be blessed with a long life and good health.” Similarly, Governor ESL Narasimhan telephoned KCR and greeted him.

Chief Minister’s son and Minister for IT & Industries K Taraka Rama Rao, who is away in Mumbai, tweeted, “To the greatest son of Telangana, a peerless leader and a fearless fighter, I am proud he is my father. Wish You a Happy Birthday Dad”.
Union minister Bandaru Dattatreya, Legislative Council chairman Kanakamamidi Swamy Goud, ministers T Harish Rao, Etela Rajendar, Talasani Srinivas Yadav, A Indrakaran Reddy, Jogu Ramanna, Pocharam Srinivas Reddy, Telangana Planning Board vice-president Niranjan Reddy, TSRTC chairman Somarapu Satyanarayana, TSMDC chairman Sheri Subhash Reddy, city police commissioner and others also greeted the Chief Minister on his 63rd birthday. –NSS
