2,000 Group I, II Posts Will Be Filled Soon, says Naidu
Amaravati: Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has announced the recruitment of 2,000 Group 1 and Group II posts to fill vacancies in all the major departments.
Addressing a review meeting of Panchayat Raj officials, the chief minister stressed the urgent requirement of dedicated officials who would work towards the development of the rural areas.
The appointments will be made at the earliest, he said. He has directed the officials to begin the process for the recruitment and to ensure that the process is completed at the earliest.
Naidu has expressed concern over the slow pace of works carried out in every department despite his repeated reviews and warnings.
Referring to the performance of the Panchayat Raj, the chief minister pointed out the delay in supplying protected drinking water to the people in the villages. He announced the proposal to start Water Corporation in the state to handle the safe drinking water supply for the villages across the state.
Minister for IT, Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Nara Lokesh said that the government was already supplying safe and protected drinking water to the people of Uddanam area in Srikakulam district, where people have been suffering from mysterious kidney disease. This protected drinking water supply has to be extended to the rest of the state, he said.
