2 Kg Of Morphine Found On AI Flight

The illicit substance was discovered following landing of a flight in Delhi from Chennai.

New Delhi: In a sensational case, a packet containing nearly two kilogram of morphine mixture was found in a food trolley of an Air India flight.

The flight had landed on Wednesday at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi from Chennai.

As the aircraft was routinely being checked, staff found a suspicious packet hidden inside a food trolley. They alerted the Narcotic Control Bureau (NCB), whose personnel opened the packet.

Following tests, the content of the packet was found to be a morphine mixture.

There is no information on who hid the packet in the trolley. NCB is investigating the case.
